Change

2:36 am. Still up, trying to figure what I would do at this unholy hour. The wife’s already in bed after gently reminding me to stop what I’m doing and sleep coz i have to help out a lady up the road sort a tree stump at half past eight in the morning. That means i could still get at least five hours of zzzzz.
But i can’t sleep yet. i’m thinking about my wife and i’s plan –no, more of a wish — to move to a 2 bed-house before my birthday, which is three weeks away; about getting a better paying, stable job that i can retire from; about our planned holiday to our land of birth at the end of the year to renew our vows in the presence of family and friends (which i haven’t seen for six years); about volunteering at a non-profit org and help refugees improve their English.
Just a few of a thousand thoughts jamming my brain at the moment.
I have so much to offer to my community and to NZ. Only one thing is needed to open all these doors, the approval of my permanent residence application.
I desperately need change. I desire change. Change.
Hello world!
